Earlier this year, the NSC named GSF Opelika one of the 2022 Industry Leaders for the facility team’s commitment to workplace safety. Recognizing organizations with injury and illness records better than or equal to 50 percent of the Bureau of Labor Statistics for their North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code, evaluation criteria include: lost workday case incident rate better than or equal to 50 percent of the BLS rating for NAICS code in the past calendar year; zero fatalities during previous calendar year; and self-reported data.
