Golden State Foods Appoints Guilda Javaheri to Chief Information Officer


Irvine, Calif. (January 24, 2014) – Golden State Foods (GSF), a worldwide distributor and food processor, is pleased to announce the appointment of Guilda Javaheri to chief information officer. In this role, Javaheri will oversee all oversee all strategic planning functions for the company’s Information Services group, in conjunction with the Management Committee, to support GSF’s business objectives. In addition, she will direct and monitor the IT staff, to ensure that organizational goals for performance, productivity and project deadlines are met and that the department provides high quality, responsive and efficient support for the company overall. Javaheri is based out of GSF’s City of Industry Distribution (CID) facility. “Guilda brings a strong skill set in systems and information technology to GSF in her new role,” says Bill Sanderson, senior vice president and chief financial officer at GSF. “She has a proven track record of success in team building, global systems and IT solutions, IT project management, major ERP conversions and upgrades. She has exhibited a high level of trust, loyalty and integrity throughout her career. Her guiding principles of IT as a competitive business tool, built on trust with a passion for the customer and strong work ethic are a wonderful match with our company’s culture. Guilda brings with her a broad range of experience in multiple industries. I’m excited to welcome Guilda to the GSF family and work with an IT leader of her caliber.” Prior to joining GSF, Javaheri served in a variety of IT leadership roles including: vice president of information technology at TTM Technologies (Santa Ana, Calif.), worldwide IT director at ITT Corporation (Santa Ana, Calif.), and most recently, Guilda worked for Xylem, Inc. (Stockholm, Sweden and Zurich, Switzerland), where she served as IT Vice President and Director. Throughout her career, Guilda led her teams to achieve superior results, driving and managing change in various dynamic environments, while substantially reducing costs.  She has served as a valued member of senior executive teams, contributing a seasoned, broad-based perspective to create and implement pragmatic IT strategies for operational efficiency. Guilda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems and Management from London City University in London, graduating Cum Laude, and a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management and Finance from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. A Southern California resident for more than 30 years, Guilda looks forward to relocating to the GSF Corporate Headquarters in Irvine.
