At the recent 21st annual Australian HACCP Conference (held August 26-28), Golden State Foods was recognized for “Outstanding Multi-Site Company” for its superior level of food safety standards over the past 12 months. During that time, the organization decreased its product concerns by an impressive 20 percent. The award is open to food businesses who successfully implemented one or more food safety management standards incorporating HACCP. The HACCP awards recognize contributions made to food safety by the foodservice industry in Australia and New Zealand. David Bradfield, Quality Assurance Manager, nominated Golden State Foods, in order to acknowledge the work done by our sites in maintaining and improving their food safety record. “In the past year we’ve had no critical or major findings identified in customer audits and have had zero product recalls. This award signifies the moves we’re making to become a safer organization,” said Bradfield. “In July we employed the very latest processing equipment to our Sydney site – another reason why our facilities are at the forefront of technological advancement for this industry.”
