During the American Manufacturing Strategies Summit last week in Houston, Texas, Jason Prince of GSF received the 2021 American Manufacturing Leadership Award for his career accomplishments. Based in Opelika, Alabama, Jason currently serves as Director of Operations, Protein Products and has been with GSF since 2014. He has over 20 years of experience in the meat industry, spanning a variety of roles, including maintenance, engineering, continuous improvement, and operations.
“I am truly humbled and honored to receive this recognition and to have been considered alongside such an accomplished and deserving group of nominees,” said Jason. “I would especially like to thank the associates at Golden State Foods for their hard work, dedication, and perseverance over the last year. Their can-do attitude during these challenging times has been nothing short of inspiring. Once again, I truly appreciate this award and am grateful for the recognition.”
Jason’s nomination recognizes him as a creative leader who always thinks one step ahead and leads a highly committed and organized team. Based on votes cast by industry stakeholders in July, the award win resulted from Jason’s passion in championing lean manufacturing and his commitment to making continuous improvements across all GSF departments.
