Larry McGill Promoted to Corporate VP and President and Chief Executive Officer of KanPak

Golden State Foods is pleased to announce the promotion of Larry McGill from Corporate Vice President and President, Food Processing to Corporate Vice President and President and Chief Executive Officer of KanPak U.S. Larry will now oversee all operations for KanPak U.S., which employs more than 160 associates. Larry will report to Mark Wetterau, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and will office in Arkansas City, Kan.

“Larry has brought game-changing leadership, energy and enthusiasm to every role he’s served in at GSF,” says Mark. “He has established and built exceptional customer relationships throughout the world over the years and has played a key role in growing the company’s food processing businesses. As we continue to serve our customers domestically and internationally, I have full confidence in Larry that he will effectively lead the KanPak U.S. team to outstanding achievements and growth.”

Larry joined GSF in 1998 as Managing Director of GSF-Egypt. After four successful years there, he moved to CIM to serve as Senior Director, Sales and Marketing for the Liquid Products Group and was subsequently promoted to Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing in 2002. In 2005, Larry moved to Conyers to serve as the facility’s Chief Operating Officer, where he orchestrated a series of optimization efforts among the Liquids and Meat businesses. In 2010, Larry was again promoted to President, Food Processing Groups, where he effectively oversaw CIM Liquid Products, Conyers Liquid Products and Meat Products and all International groups in Egypt, China, Australia and New Zealand. Under Larry’s leadership, GSF has been honored with numerous customer awards and recognitions including: Supplier of the year awards for Yum! Brands, Zaxby’s, Popeyes, along with multiple quality, teamwork and target awards for McDonald’s. Additionally, five Chairman’s Challenge Awards have been awarded to GSF’s food processing facilities (CIM, Australia, Egypt, Conyers – twice) during Larry’s leadership.
