Three GSF Liquid Products Associates Celebrate Milestone Anniversaries

Each quarter, GSF features associates celebrating milestone anniversaries within the GSF family of companies, sharing their journey, insights and what makes their time with the company so special.

In the first quarter of 2023, three associates from Liquid Products North America facilities in the City of Industry, California and Conyers, Georgia are marking significant GSF anniversary milestones. While each associate’s day-to-day operations focus on different areas of the business, including forklift operations, machine operations, and quality assurance, they all contribute to the team’s overall effectiveness in supporting customer success.

In February, Conyers Forklift Operator Aaron Heath celebrates 30 years of service. He highlights how his role in the warehouse continues to ensure that GSF’s foodservice customers receive quality products.

“I feel like my job plays an important role because I am the last person to touch the product before it is received by the customer, and it is important to make sure we get it right.”

When asked how GSF has supported his career over the years, he notes valuable opportunities for growth and learning.

“I was always given opportunities to try different jobs and see what positions felt right for me,” said Aaron. “When I was moved to a new position or promoted, I received the training I needed to be successful. I always felt like I was heard when voicing concerns and that my opinion mattered.”

From the City of Industry facility, 30-year associate Aileen Aguilar continues to develop her knowledge in her current role as machine operator. Starting in ketchup operations in 1984 and then moving into jam and jelly machine operations for the past fifteen years, she believes that “taking notes and practicing ‘think safe’ initiatives” have contributed to her success. Aileen describes GSF as a “second home” and largely credits the people she works with as the most enjoyable part of her job.

Also from GSF’s City of Industry location, Genaline Reyes will celebrate 35 years of service in March. In her role as Sensory Supervisor, Genaline evaluates new products, conducts shelf-life studies, runs trend reports to monitor product quality, and selects samples for target submission. She shares how GSF supported her family’s education through GSF Scholarships and advanced her career through continuous learning.

“GSF has opened doors for me to attend classes, seminars, and workshops, and provided good mentors over the years,” says Genaline.

Her advice to those interested in quality assurance is to “never stop learning, to be a team player, and maintain good work ethics.”

GSF congratulates Aaron, Aileen, and Genaline on each of their milestones with gratitude for their numerous contributions and long-term dedication over the years.
